Filter materials for cigarette filter rods
Product series
Diacetate fiber tow
It is a polymer material made from natural cellulose (wood, cotton linters, etc.) as raw material, acetylated into diacetate cellulose, and then processed through spinning and other techniques. This material features a Y-shaped monofilament cross-section structure, with excellent moisture absorption, breathability, and adsorption properties.

Product overview
It is a polymer material made from natural cellulose (wood, cotton linters, etc.) as raw material, acetylated into diacetate cellulose, and then processed through spinning and other techniques. This material features a Y-shaped monofilament cross-section structure, with excellent moisture absorption, breathability, and adsorption properties. It is mainly used in cigarette filter manufacturing, effectively trapping harmful components in smoke. Its chemical properties are stable, but ester bonds are easily damaged by strong acids and bases. It also has thermoplasticity and good processability. Besides the tobacco field, it can also be used in medical dressings, textile fabrics, and special coatings.
Raw materials: high-purity wood pulp/cotton pulp
Technology: independent acetate esterification process
Applications: cigarette filters, high-grade textiles
Standard: complies with YC/T 26-2017

Main Advantages of Diacetate Filaments
So far, there are three main filament raw materials for cigarette filters: PP (polypropylene), diacetate fiber, and PLA (polylactic acid fiber). Compared to others, diacetate fiber filaments have the best performance and hold an irreplaceable advantage among various cigarette filter materials.
In terms of health, acetate fiber and polylactic acid are healthier under heating conditions.
PP, as a petrochemical product, is detrimental to human health.
From the consumer experience perspective, cigarettes with acetate fiber filters offer better taste and overall experience.
In production technology, diacetate fiber can easily realize the production of various new filter rods and composite filter rods, including capsule filters and heated tobacco, and more easily meet various filter rod performance indicators.
In production efficiency, factories generally use high-speed processing equipment designed for diacetate filament processing. Using diacetate filaments results in higher production speed and finished product qualification rates.

Cellulose diacetate is a semi-synthetic polymer material made from natural cellulose (such as wood pulp, cotton pulp) as raw material through acetylation reaction. It has both the degradability of natural materials and the excellent properties of synthetic materials, and is widely used in cigarette filters, textile fibers, packaging materials, and medical fields.
Lyocell is a new type of green fiber made from natural wood pulp using a non-toxic solvent spinning method. It has excellent strength, moisture absorption, and skin-friendliness, with a soft feel and natural luster, combining the advantages of natural and synthetic fibers. It is widely used in clothing fabrics, home textile products, medical textiles, and environmentally friendly non-woven fabrics, and is an ideal material for modern ecological textiles. Its green and environmentally friendly production process is known as 'the most promising fiber of the 21st century'.
